International Activities (Pilot Countries) Sri Lanka - Experiences

There are three projects ongoing in different sectors in Sri Lanka. In total seven companies have committed to letters of intent and several more have expressed interest in signing agreements. The most potential areas for the implementation of Chemical Leasing in Sri Lanka are: ink based industry metal finishing industry textile sector rubber sector and water treatment processes. The main obstacles to effective implementation of Chemical Leasing business models in Sri Lanka include a lack of chemical manufactures and low motivation of the chemical supplier network to change existing business structures.
