Mardi Inc. is a producer of chemicals for the galvanic industry, such as nickel, brighteners, leveler, etc. It has more than 30 years of experience and 6 employees. The annual volume of sales amounts to 450,000 USD. In its research lab new chemical products for the galvanic industry are developed. For the last 10 years Mardi Inc. has been working on the optimisation of electroplating processes by means of decreasing the nickel consumption.
Cromadora Delgado is an electroplating company with 15 years of experience. It has 42 employees and the annual sales amounts to USD 350,000. Cromadora Delgado possesses a clean industry certificate and has participated in various cleaner production projects. The company is very interested in improving its environmental record.
Servicrom is a small company of the electroforming sector with a production
of 200,000 pieces of bicycle parts/year.
In Mexico sugar mills1 typically consist of medium sized companies with an annual production of over 50,000 tons per year and more than 100 employees. They work together in cooperatives and are interested in improving the efficiency they use lubricants, flocculants and biocides with.
